The Internet Is Making Us Stupid!!

I know you must have come across many other articles, videos that say the same thing and you are pretty much tired of hearing that internet impacts our learning, memorizing and creative ability. But in this video, I will be taking a different approach and try to show you a new point of view.
Well for starters internet does not make you stupid, it may sound contradictory but listen to me first. Internet is a vast sea of knowledge, you can learn new things with less resources and that too at a incredible pace. Like for example, I don't have to attend a lecture, teaching me how to optimize my article for better SEO scores. I can just open up my browser and ask the greatest teacher of all that is always available on my fingertips, GOOGLE. Now you can even have real-time conversations with people far far away from you, have a really productive discussion with thousands of people joining in from all across the world, which is going to be specially handy in this pandemic struck world.
No doubt you gain information super fast, but, the problem is the information is not always 100% accurate. Consider this analogy, if you are looking for a coaching center, you ask the people you know who studied in it, get their real life experience and then easily decide which one to go to. One might think it is also true for online coaching classes, where you can find online reviews very easily. Well the thing is there are a lot of cases when the reviews are self-planted, this can be done by using scripts, codes or hiring paid reviewers that give attractive reviews for just a meager amount of money.
There are also cases where people spread misinformation intentionally to gain benefit or to target an individual, or a specific group of society. Our history is filled with such cases where people have taken the lives of others based on false information, a problem that has only been accelerated by the fast pace of mis(information). One prime example would be of Radio Ravanda where one group of society was put against other just on the basis of intentionally created false rumors, the only difference is that radio has been replaced by much faster and evergreen internet.
My basic point of this article is that misinformation is spreading fast and the awareness level is not catching up. The difference is what makes us stupid. We know a lot of stuff but most of it is false information that doesn't contribute even a little bit to our intelligence. For the sake of it, it is not that people are not spreading awareness, they are, but majority tends to always prefer crispy and juicy false rumors that stimulate their brains over hard-written facts that are hard to process and act on.

What do you think about this matter, we would love to hear from you!!!
